Raincoats are Awesome

Over the weekend, we took a family trip to Crayola.  Jace can climb the triangles now!  He’s an expert at scaling them, though he does sometimes tumble slide down the other side….  Crayola was fun.  We hadn’t been in a long time.

We’ve officially switched Jace to forward-facing in his carseat.  He seems to like it and we both really like how much easier it is to interact with him while driving.

And now to the raincoat.  Raincoats are awesome.  We’ve had a few rainy days in a row.  Luckily, Jace has a raincoat!  And if you have a raincoat, there’s nothing to stop you from heading out in the rain to open and close the garage door a zillion times.  And once you’re done with that, you can get started shoveling the driveway!  Definitely a favorite activity (for some reason).  He’d push the shovel to the bottom of the driveway, then drag the shovel back up to the top.  He’d pause, clap for himself, then do it all over again.  So cute!

Lastly, the true rainy day activity – jumping in puddles!

  1. He’s gotten SO BIG! Pretty soon he’ll be driving you around, rather than eating animal crackers in the back seat. Hard to believe he was a helpless and somewhat scary baby only two years ago, huh? Tell him to stop growing so fast! He’s going to outgrow that raincoat by the end of the summer! 🙂

  2. Who knew a raincoat, puddle, a triangle to climb over, a garage door, and a shovel could bring soooo much joy!!!! 😀😀😊
