There is a lot to post about today!
Jace and I returned the play table to our friends Lisa and Reagan. To get the table to them, I put it in the backseat of the car. Jace thought it was great to have a gigantic toy he could reach from his carseat! Playgroup was lots of fun and we met some new kids. Jace (and everyone else too, actually) spent a lot of time crawling through the tunnel.
After playgroup, we went home and packed. The next day Adam drove Jace and me to Philadelphia to catch a plane to Seattle and then on to Anchorage. Pennsylvania is really far away from Alaska. Wow. But, lucky for us, Jace is an AMAZING traveler! We read books, we looked out the window, we spent a lot of time playing with the latch on the tray table, and we finally ended up in Anchorage. A day of travel and a four hour time change definitely caught up to us. We got to my parents house and went straight to sleep. But in the morning, Jace was ready to play, play, play!
Finally it was 9:30pm (1:30am in Pennsylvania) and it was waaaay past bedtime. Despite the late bedtime, Jace was up early – and ready to go! We were about to go grocery shopping, when Grandpa mentioned that the roads might be closed due to the Bear Paw Festival…. So we headed down the hill and signed up to do the Bear Paw 5K! The weather was gorgeous and we had a great time. We stopped twice to tie balloons on to the stroller – and still finished in less than an hour!
Jace got a fancy looking finishers medal. I was going to get a picture of him with his medal for the post, but he fell asleep as soon as we got home and he’s still sleeping! Time to grab some lunch and get packed up to go camping. More pictures of Jace’s adventures soon!
