Jace doesn’t like to wear shoes. He tolerates socks, sometimes, but he has no patience for shoes. Lately he’s been tearing up the bottoms of his feet (maybe at the pool?), so we’ve decided that shoes are required if he’s going to be playing outside. We found these new “shoes” that work great – they’re half sock and half shoe! The light blue part is sock material and the red part is rubber. They are easy to put on and Jace didn’t seem to mind them toooooo much. Best of all, they protect his feet!
The reason shoes were extra important today is because…. we brought the walker to the park! The grass was a bit tall, so we got off to a slow start. But once we got to the path, Jace took off. He was loving it! He would zoom along the path until he’d get caught on the grassy edge. Then we’d turn around and he’d zoom off in the other direction. I had a hard time getting in front of him to take the pictures but it was worth the effort – he looked so happy when he was walking along!

And THEN, to top off an already great day, I got birthday cake! Cake is one of my favorite foods. Jace picked the cake mix (neon blue) and Adam picked the frosting (neon pink). It made for a very colorful and delicious dessert!
