On Saturday, Adam and I had our “celebration lunch” at the hospital (chicken or bacon-wrapped filet, salad, veggies, mashed potatoes, rolls, sparkling pomegranate juice, and “happy birthday” cupcakes), then I got discharged. We went straight to the NICU and I GOT TO HOLD JACEN! It was wonderful.
He’s the most adorable baby ever. He was doing really well and was breathing on his own. He didn’t get to stay out of his bed very long because they’re monitoring him really closely and were trying to keep his temperature up. He has IVs to give him his nutrients and monitors to watch his heart rate, oxygen saturation, and respiratory rate.
